Description
This project added 4000 m2 of new retail space to the existing structure and includes a new departmental store and gym. The new area was designed to blend with the urban surroundings. It consist of two floors of partially covered walkways lined with glass that unify the mall’s retail store windows. This added 15 retail stores to the mall’s existing 72 shops. The project propose the use of fast and efficient construction solutions in order to minimize the impact on the mall’s normal functioning. It is worth noting that lightweight expanded polystyrene slabs were used which reduced usage of concrete and significantly diminished the structural load. The mall’s green façades provide the structure with a renovated, environmentally friendly look.
