This five-star hotel development includes an entertainment center, multiple restaurants, a cultural walkway and a theater and provides the provincial capital of Tucuman with a state-of-the-art conference and convention center. From an architectural standpoint, past and present merge to preserve the old general store’s original building and courtyard, underscoring its design qualities without disrupting its relationship with the surroundings. Our proposal sought to harmonize the new structures with the original building by using special materials and volumetric techniques to favor the dialogue between them. For the façade we maintained a string of porticos that establish continuity with the building’s main historical arcade. All of this creates synergy between the two structures that make up Central Tucumano and increases its architectural power.
