Description
As part of a specific medical project, the well built original structure was completely renovated to make room for modern medical equipment. The decision was made to repurpose the interior without changing the façade which forms a recognizable part of the neighborhood’s identity. Work performed by CRIBA included indoor demolition, adaptation and reinforcement of the existing concrete structure, general masonry, insulation, installation of sheetrock walls and ceilings, joinery refurbishing and medical furniture installation. The following installations were also done: natural gas, electrical, communications, medical gas,plumbing, fire and thermo-mechanical installations.
